Best Donuts in San Francisco
There is really nothing quite like biting into a warm donut and you really can't go wrong when it comes to finding a good spot. However there are places that... well... are just better than others. Like when they make belly buster sized donuts, pile on the sprinkles like never before, serve them hot, fresh and delightfully doughy. Enter Bob's Donuts.
In 1960, Bob's Donuts opened as a family owned and run shop on Polk Street in San Francisco. It has become a cornerstone in Nob Hill and the family tradition continues to preserve the art of making handmade magnificent donuts.
They have their usual suspects... the raised glazed, cake crumb and then... they have the big donut. The Whooper, the Scale Breaker, it's just a big honking donut. In addition to being a Big Kahuna, it comes with a challenge. If you down this bad boy in 2 minutes you get your money back, a free drink, a Bob's Donuts shirt and your name listed in the Hall of Fame. I don't know how but how can you say no to a Bob's Donuts t-shirt? Even though the name and the exterior and interior can be a bit unassuming this place is delicious. Whether you are craving a donut at 6am or 2am just know Bob's will be there to satisfy you. They are open 24 hours a day every day.
