Show Me Your Mumu in the Botanical Gardens
Palm Springs is a magical place filled with palm trees, bright colors, mid-century architecture, desert heat and my favorite the world’s first Cactarium. Pay a couple bucks and wander through this maze of succulents, palms, cactuses, and desert foliage. Guaranteed to spike your curiosity - Moorten Botanical Garden showcases over 3,000 varieties of desert plant - it is both a breathtaking and an inspiring experience. This historian landmark was established in 1938 by ‘Cactus Slim’ Moorten and his wife Patricia and continues in the family today. We were lucky enough to meet Clark Moorten Jr. while visiting. He was the cutest and took over this garden after his parents passing. Definitely, a must see while visiting Palm Springs. It’s surprisingly convenient as well just an 8-minute walk from the Ace Hotel.
